Rainy Night in Gold (2), an original painting from Kyee Myint Saw, showcases the artists’ preferred subject, the Yagoon market at night. One of Myint Saw’s greatest talents is to catch the light and shadows from the blazing lights of a rainy night, as seen in Rainy Night in Gold (2).
Yagoon, Myanmar is the contemporary artist’s home, and in the morning and evening, he takes in the light falling on pedestrians of the local market. Combining these scenes with Abstract Expressionism, derived some of his greatest works.
Kyee Myint Saw is recognized as a dedicated and prolific artist who had participated in over seventy shows. He was a faculty member of the Yangon Arts and Science University and the Institute of Economics, before his retirement (Source: OK Art Gallery)
