by: Danièle Rochon
Location: Above Staircase, Lobby
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Country: Canada
Desire to Feel Moisture of Moss is the feature painting in the lobby of Queen’s Landing. This original piece comes from Canadian artist, Danièle Rochon. Three colourful panels depict a brilliant moss laid landscape.
Danièle Rochon paints in both Montreal and in the south of France. She works in various mediums however, her work has been dominated by themes that fascinate her: water, stone, and nature’s most intimate, hidden secrets. In her paintings she is in constant search for more light, sometimes filtered or radiant, expressing its inherent beauty in all of her creations. In 1992, Rochon was elected as a member of The Royal Canadian Academy of Art.
