We Are The Night, an original painting from Kyee Myint Saw, showcases a group of men on bikes in the Yagoon market at night. Yagoon market, is the artists preferred subject because it allows him to showcase his talent of catching the light and shadows from the blazing lights at night.

Yagoon, Myanmar is the contemporary artists home, and in the morning and evening, he is inspired by the light falling on pedestrians of the local market. Combining these scenes with Abstract Expressionism, derived some of his greatest works.

Kyee Myint Saw is recognized as a dedicated and prolific artist who had participated in over seventy shows. He was a faculty member of the Yangon Arts and Science University and the Institute of Economics, before his retirement. (Source: Catto Gallery)
