AMBOISE

by: Street Artist, Paris, France

Location: Back Lobby Hallway

Medium: Oil on Canvas

Country: France

Amboise is a unique painting from a French street artist, as this piece pulls inspiration from Leonardo da Vinic’s, The Virgin and Child with St. Anne. Though in this piece Saint Anne and the sacrificial lamb are replaced with mythical creatures.

The name Amboise was likely chosen to reference the French town in which da Vinci’s tomb lays. Château d'Amboise was the 15th-century residence of King Charles VIII, it houses Leonardo da Vinci's tomb, as well as royal chambers, gardens and underground passageways.
