AS IT WAS, BOATS, WEST VANCOUVER

by: Daniel J. Izzard

As it was, Boats, West Vancouver is an original artwork by Daniel J Izzard. He was a renowned British/Canadian Impressionist painter who celebrated light in all of his paintings. In this original piece Izzard depicts one of the Yacht Clubs that populate West Vancouver.

In a quote from the late artist he professed his love for this region, “West Vancouver opened my creating juices. It was love at first sight.”

Izzard was British born and moved to Canada after finding inspiration in ‘British Columbia’s natural beauty’. His inspiration was found on solo canoes trips in remote areas of Canada as well as from his trips abroad. He is regarded as a master impressionist painter and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Federation of Canadian Artists in 2006.
