“Vendanges” is the term used in France to denote the grape-picking season, with harvests in many regions later used for wine production. Les Vendanges depicts vineyard workers picking and transporting grapes during harvest season.

Pierre Pivet forms his distinctive works with a combination of brilliant colour and lyrical brushstrokes. His work is truly unique and distinctive.

Pivet, a French born artist has won many accolades throughout his career including Canada’s Silver Medal of Contemporary Art in 1981 and in 1982, he was selected for the Monte-Carlo Prize. In 1983, Pivet settled in Montreal, Quebec and in a later project painted twelve Montréal Canadiens hockey greats. Pivet’s twelve original works on canvas paid tribute to these legendary figures of hockey, each an icon in Canadian sports culture.
